So I was reading this article, and came across the above quote, and thought “wow, they really used to be honest with the title of laws. Both the ‘firearms act’ and the ‘gun control act’ were pretty straight forward and said what they meant… It wasn’t till 1986 that we started getting those bullshit names like ‘the firearm owners protection act’ that prohibited THOUSANDS of firearms from being owned. How’s that for protection? Of course since then we’ve only got more bullshittier; ‘patriot act’, ‘affordable care act’ one of which violates the latter and the Spirit of The Constitution, and the other which only made ‘care’ affordable for the people who DON’T have to pay for it.
